Dylan Meyer wrote the script for The Wrong Girls almost a decade ago. When she and Kristen Stewart first met, she sent it to her. The script is how they got together.

They got married in April 2025. Then they made the movie.

Meyer is making her feature directorial debut here. Stewart stars alongside Alia Shawkat as two codependent best friends who accidentally wind up with a briefcase of glowing experimental psychedelics. Seth Rogen and Kumail Nanjiani voice their talking cats.

Point Grey Pictures (Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's company) and Nevermind Pictures (Meyer and Stewart's company) produced it together.

It opens in US theaters August 14 via Neon.
