One Night Only Gets the First New Radicals Song in 28 Years

A woman in a green sequin dress and a man in a chef's shirt lean toward each other across a diner counter, a neon sign glowing in the window behind them at night.

The New Radicals have a new song.

They broke up in 1999. One album. "You Get What You Give." Then nothing. For 28 years. They wrote their first original song in nearly three decades for One Night Only, the new rom-com from Will Gluck.

The movie is about two strangers who find each other on the one night of the year when premarital sex is legal. Gluck rewrote the script during production to match his leads, Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner, and to make it feel like New York. Molly Ringwald plays Callum's mom.

If you liked Easy A, this is the same filmmaker in a weirder mood.

It opens August 7. Watch Easy A first if you haven't.
