Harry Styles was briefly cast in Nosferatu. So was Anya Taylor-Joy, who stayed attached for five years before the project fell apart again.
Robert Eggers had been trying to make this film since 2015. He staged a version of it in high school. He made The Lighthouse and The Northman while waiting. When it finally got greenlit in 2022, Bill Skarsgård sat in six hours of prosthetics every morning, a team of six applying 62 individual pieces to build Count Orlok. He also worked with an Icelandic opera singer on Mongolian throat singing to lower his voice.
None of it is an accident. Every detail in this film came from somewhere.
It keeps landing in Backlot lists. If you've been saving it, stop waiting. It's on Peacock.
