The Morocco fight in John Wick: Chapter 3 has dogs that move like they're part of a synchronized attack. There's a reason for that.

Halle Berry trained with the Belgian Malinois four days a week, two to three hours a day, for eight months. The goal wasn't to make her look comfortable around them. Chad Stahelski wanted her to actually become their handler. By the end, the dogs responded to her the same way they responded to their professional trainers.

Berry also broke three ribs during training. She didn't know why at first, assumed bone cancer or early osteoporosis. Stahelski waited for her. That sequence in Casablanca is the result.

People on Backlot are rewatching this one. Go back to the kennel scene knowing what you know now. The dogs are locked onto her because she earned it.
