Dookudu came out in 2011. Mahesh Babu plays a cop who has to pretend to be a politician to protect his father from the people who put him in a coma. It is a Telugu masala film, directed by Sreenu Vaitla, with Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead, Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj in the cast.
It was one of the biggest Telugu films of that year.
It is back in US theaters August 8.
